Joint/Bone Health

One of the most common problems faced by strength training athletes and bodybuilders is joint pain, and a lack of joint health supplements & bone health supplements. This is one of the most painful parts of a bodybuilding routine. Common in all age groups and genders, this joint pain can seriously impede the progress you are trying to make. Basically, joint pain is caused by inflammation in various parts of your body. After a workout, when your muscles and joints have been under stress, they will become inflamed, which restricts the flow of blood to these areas. There are many contributing factors that cause joint pain in athletes, lets take a look at a few:

Over-training: Working too hard at the gym for an extended period of time can cause serious wear and tear on your body, which increases your joint pain. If you have been exercising hard for several weeks – or months – and are beginning to notice serious pain, then you should consider taking a week or two off. In general, workout professionals recommend taking a week break between eight to ten week training cycles. While you may be too stubborn to relax for a week, this could prevent you from having constant joint pain when you’re older.

No proper warm up: Sometimes, joint pain is caused by not adding a sufficient warm-up to your routine. Before working a specific muscle group, try increasing blood flow to that area with a few light, high-rep workouts. For example, many people complain about elbow pain after their routine, which can often occur while benching. So, before doing that set, do some light biceps and triceps isolation workouts, like cable curls and rope press-downs.

Of course bodybuilders and athletes are not the only people who have joint problems. One major joint problem is Arthritis. People of all ages, sexes and races can and do have arthritis, and it is the leading cause of disability in America. It is most common among women and occurs more frequently as people get older. Common arthritis joint symptoms include swelling, pain, stiffness and decreased range of motion.
