Alanine (Beta-Alanine)

Alanine is a non-essential amino acid. Non-essential amino acids can be made by the body, so they don’t have to be provided by food. Alanine plays a significant role in regulating blood sugar. Other functions of this amino acid are the support of the ability to perform physically and build muscle mass.

Beta-alanine is used for improving athletic performance and exercise capacity, building lean muscle mass, and improving physical functioning in the elderly.
