Sci-Fit L-Arginine 500mg 100 capsule
Sci Fit's L-Arginine is a protein amino acid present in the proteins of all life forms. It is classified as conditionally essential amino acid, which means the body manufactures suffcient L-Arginine in most cases. However, in young children, those with certain genetic disorders and some stress conditions such as trauma, burns or sepsis, L-Arginine becomes an essential amino acid. Under these conditions proper dietary intake of L-Arginine becomes important. Supplemental L-Arginine may have anti-therogenic, antioxidant, immunomodulatory and wound healing actions. Most of L-Arginine's positive effects are due to its role as a precursor to the production of Nitric Oxide (NO). NO is produced in all the tissues of the body and is essential to the proper function of the cardiovascular system, immune system and nervous system. L-Arginine shows promise in the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease (aetherosclerosis, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and angina pectoris), some forms of male infertility (erectile dysfuntion) and some kidney disorders. Furthermore, it has been shown to be helpful in accelerating wound healing under some circumstances. Supplemental, L-arginine has also been shown to induce the release of growth hormone and prolactin.
