GABA supplements appear to promote relaxation and sleep. While GABA has been tested for improving exercise tolerance, decreasing body fat, and stabilizing blood pressure, research on the supplement’s effectiveness and safety for these purposes has been mixed at best. GABA itself does not cause drowsiness. Instead, by easing anxiety, it simply makes it easier to fall asleep. GABA is an important amino acid neurotransmitter in the brain. Neurotransmitters are the chemicals that allow brain cells to communicate with one another and maintain memory, including the ability to register, retain and retrieve information. It’s involved in the regulation of brain nerve cells and has been referred to as the brain’s natural calming agent. GABA supplements are often used to promote muscle growth and to counteract age-related declines in growth hormone levels. Promotes sound sleep and lower stress.

Recommended Use: For adults only. As a dietary supplement, take three to five grams mixed with 8 ounces of water or juice approximately 30 minutes before sleep.
