Cascara Sagrada, also known as “sacred bark”, was first introduced to Spanish explorers during the 16th century by North American Indians. It has a mild laxative effect, due to the natural constituents that that induce contractions in the large intestines. NOW Cascara Sagrada delivers 450 mg of this popular cleansing herb.

Directions: As a dietary supplement, take 2 capsules 1 to 2 times daily, with water or juice on an empty stomach. Consider taking this product in combination with NOW Psyllium Husk and Aloe Vera. Store in a cool, dry place.
Warning: Do not use this product if you have abdominal pain or diarrhea. Consult a health care provider prior to use if you are pregnant or nursing a baby. Discontinue use in the event of diarrhea or watery stools. Do not exceed recommended dose. Not for long-term use.
