Tom Manno is the founder of Manno’s Pro-Fitness products, a sports supplements company specializing in products and education to enable people to reach their strength and fitness goals WITHOUT the use of illegal performance enhancing drugs.
Born in 1958, in Rochester, NY, Tom was unhealthy as a child and was told by his doctor that he would always be small and weak. Despite this early prognosis, Tom grew into a large child and by the 8th grade he could already overhead press 150 lbs, astounding his peers.
Manno went on to play football at the University of Arizona and in 1981 played pro ball for the Dallas Cowboys. Later, he signed with the Tampa Bay USFL team before ending his football career due to injury. Looking for an outlet for his athletic prowess, and always having been stronger than his peers, Tom decided he wanted to become a champion in the sport of powerlifting, specializing in his best lift, the bench press.
At 6'3 1/2" and 308 lbs., Tom Manno is currently the strongest drug free bench press specialist in the world over the age of 45 years old. He has won 12 national titles as well as 10 World Championships and reached a lifetime goal in May 2004 by posting a 707 lb. bench press, the first time a man over the age of 40 had accomplished this feat. Tom continues to defy the aging process by pursuing new records in his sport, continuing to get stronger as he gets older. Tom Manno's DRUG FREE approach to training success is centered on enhancing circulation, keeping the muscles loaded with glycogen and most importantly, well hydrated. Tom is able to achieve this by drinking lots of water throughout the day, and by taking the scientifically engineered supplements in the Manno’s Pro-Fitness line. |
