Eye health is an important concern for everyone. Active Eyes supplements the diet with nutritional factors such as vitamin C, spirulina, bilberry fruit and carrot juice that have been shown to play a role in supporting healthy eye function.
Spirulina is a blue-green algae powerhouse that is an incredible source of densely packed, broad-spectrum nutrition, including an excellent natural source of beta-carotene. In the body, beta-carotene is converted to vitamin A, which studies have shown is essential for healthy vision. Futurebiotics utilizes certified organic, 100% vegetarian (no animal waste or by-products) spirulina grown in dedicated ponds to ensure purity and quality.
Active Eyes includes acerola extract, produced from cherries grown near the rainforest in Brazil on certified organic small-plot orchards and handpicked at the optimum time when the color reveals their peak vitamin C content. The cherries are then stored at temperatures just above freezing to preserve their vital nutrients. Vitamin C is a water-soluble antioxidant nutrient that has been shown to play an important role in eye health.
Traditionally, bilberry fruit has been used to support healthy eye function. Active Eyes provides all the goodness of whole, wild cultivar bilberry fruit, with all its naturally-occurring active phytonutrients. Pure carrot juice is also included, which is specially processed to capture and preserve the vitamins and minerals inherent in the whole vegetable. Additional vision support is provided by a variety of certified organic bioactive exotic whole fruits, berries and fruit juices such as wild lingonberry fruit and aronia juice.
